This is an 11-minute video from the April 6, 1975 National Hockey League game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the host Boston Bruins, a 4-4 tie in the final game of the regular season.. It is film, with no sound, from the WCVB Collection, transferred by Northeast Historical Film. Thanks to NHF for the OK to post it with watermarks; for information on obtaining a clean copy visit www.oldfilm.org. The first couple of minutes is action from the game, the rest is only shots of the Bruins bench, including Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito. Notes: The Bruins goals were scored by Orr (2), Dave Forbes, and Don Marcotte, Marcotte's coming at 17:43 of the third period. The Maple Leafs got two from Lanny McDonald, Borje Salming, and Darryl Sittler ... There was a brawl at 17:11 of the first period, in which regular combatants Boston's Terry O'Reilly and Toronto's Tiger Williams each got game misconducts and two leaving the penalty box penalties. Wish that was shown, but hopefully the Channel 5 sports viewers got a gander ... The Bruins fell in the preliminary round of the playoffs to the Blackhawks. After an 8-2 win at the Garden, Boston lost Game 2 in Chicago in OT, then fell, 6-4, in Game 3 back in Boston. Box score in comments. Copyright WCVB.
