R. Schumann: Kreisleriana, op. 16 no. 1, Äusserst bewegt - Pianist in Paris 1. The piece was inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s fictional character Johannes Kreisler, a wild, eccentric musician, much like Schumann himself. 2. Schumann wrote Kreisleriana in just four days in 1838, during a burst of passion while separated from his beloved Clara Wieck. 3. He told Clara that Kreisleriana was “a very wild love story”, with her portrayed in the tender, lyrical passages. 4. The first movement, “Äußerst bewegt” (“Extremely agitated”), captures Schumann’s split personality, his fiery side (Florestan) and his poetic side (Eusebius) battling in sound. 5. The music’s sudden shifts, storms and dreamlike calm moments made it one of Schumann’s most personal and psychological works, almost a musical self-portrait. 6. Franz Liszt loved the piece and later performed it for Schumann in Vienna, Schumann was reportedly moved to tears. #piano #classicalmusic #schumann #robertschumann #kreisleriana #kreislerianano1 #AusserstBewegt #Florestan #Eusebius #ETAHoffmann #ClaraWieck #favoritemusic #pianomusic #romanticmusic #musicfacts #pianistlife #pianist #paris #pianistinparis #pianomusic #passionformusic #musicien 🎹 And this time, a few fun facts about me: 1. I started playing the piano when I was almost seven, my biggest dream was to become a pianist. My dad was my piano teacher for ten years at music school, and somehow… it worked perfectly! 💫 2. One of my favorite competitions was in Italy, where I won first prize and performed in a beautiful concert hall, and in between, I got to explore some amazing places. 🇮🇹✨ 3. At sixteen, I started studying at the music university while still finishing high school! It was a crazy but exciting time. 😅🎶 4. I finished my master’s degree at twenty-one with the highest distinction. Right after that, I received a scholarship from the French government and continued my studies in Paris with my wonderful teacher and pianist Eugen Indjic. 🇫🇷🎵 5. Kreisleriana has a special place in my heart, I performed it at my diploma concert and even wrote my final essay about it. 💙 What else would you like to know about my musical journey? 😄🎶 Thank you for watching!
