Orthopaedic Surgeon Nairobi - Kenya Dr. Makena Mbogori is an Orthopaedic Surgeon from Nairobi, Kenya currently specializing in Upper Extremity and Sports Medicine. She has experience in both private and public sectors of training and practice of Orthopaedic Surgery in Kenya, India and Canada. She is quite passionate and keen on incorporating each and every learning opportunity, local, regional and international networking experience for the betterment of service delivery, clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. Dr. Makena strongly believes in the importance of provision of evidence based care and is actively involved in several research projects. She also advocates for diversity, equity and inclusion within the orthopaedic space as she serves as the African Region representative of the International Orthopaedic Diversity Alliance (IODA) and surgical field at large as the executive secretary of the Kenya Association of Women Surgeons(KAWS).
