A weak disturbance passes through the region overnight, bringing light snow showers. Amounts will be minor, generally under an inch of fluff. Areas north of I-70 have the best chance of getting accumulations from this system. Any lingering light snow ends early as a cold front passes. However, temperatures will fall behind that cold front, as arctic air dives in. We'll start the day near 20, but readings steadily fall through the teens through the day. Blustery west winds gusting to around 30 mph will drop wind chills into the single digits and eventually below zero in the afternoon. We have a 10TV Weather Impact Alert Day for Monday through Tuesday morning due to the prolonged sub-zero wind chills. They'll be that cold mainly from midday Monday to midday Tuesday. Make sure you are bundle up, and check on your family and neighbors. Temperatures return to the 30s as soon as Wednesday, but another weak disturbance approaches with another round of precip for midweek. Highs stay in the teens and 20s going into next weekend, when another chance of snow arrives.
