Badener Höhe + Herrenwieser See | Black Forest | Fern + Forest

This is one of my favourite places in the Northern Black Forest: the Badener Höhe mountain and the cirque lake Herrenwieser See. Follow us along as we start our hike in the small village of Herrenwies, climb up the mountain and enter the core zone of the Black Forest National Park. Enjoy the views from the Friedrichsturm observation tower and continue as we descend on narrow paths down to the Herrenwieser See cirque lake. The tour ends in Herrenwies as the sun sets behind the trees. Dies ist einer meiner Lieblingsorte im Nordschwarzwald: die Badener Höhe und der Herrenwieser See. Wir starten unsere Wanderung im kleinen Örtchen Herrenwies, steigen zur Badener Höhe hinauf und durchqueren dabei die Kernzone des Nationalparks Schwarzwald. Nach einem herrlichen Rundumblick vom Friedrichsturm geht es weiter Richtung Seekopf und auf schmalen Pfaden hinab zum Karsee.
