The concept of this machine is cool, but I had some difficulty getting the updated software to install on my Windows 10 PC. I had to uninstall all the anti-virus software because this company’s software is showing up as a virus to my anti-virus protection software. They will need to write better software to help this product ease of use. When I did have it running on the old software, it etched in the leather as I would expect. It will engrave on any porous material. Please note: It will not etch on metal, stone, acrylic, glass, or ceramics. The manual leaves a lot to be desired. Foreign companies really need to start paying attention to the accurate translation into English. It would help their product be better received. Even the product description is poorly written on Amazon. The quality is so so, they need to go back to the drawing board. Once the issues are ironed out, they have a potentially neat product. I received this product at a discounted price and it did not affect my straightforward review of the product.
