#rockhounding #thefinders #geology We spent the day at Douglas Lake in eastern Tennessee. This reservoir is filled with water in the summer, but in the winter, lake levels drop and the lakebed is open for exploration and crystal collection. The crystals found here are tiny quartz crystals that are terminated on both ends, similar to Herkimer Diamonds. These ones are commonly called Douglas Diamonds due to their location.
