Preparations are in progress at the historic Old Parliament building for a Central Hall event scheduled for today at 11 AM. This gathering will be attended by Members of Parliament from both the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha. The Central Hall of the Old Parliament will host a ceremony to honor the rich history of the Indian Parliament and reaffirm the commitment to transform India into a developed nation by 2047. On Tuesday, both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will conduct their sessions in the new Parliament building. Security personnel at the Parliament building have adopted a new uniform ahead of the special parliamentary session in the new facility. Marshals, security personnel, officials, chamber attendants, and drivers have been provided with new attire, which will be mandatory when the new Parliament building becomes operational. The new dress code includes khaki trousers, cream-colored jackets, cream shirts featuring pink lotus motifs for men, and vibrant sarees with jackets for women, along with turbans for marshals. The security personnel at the Parliament building will now wear camouflage-pattern clothing, resembling the attire worn by military personnel. Both Houses adjourned their sessions on Monday after discussing Parliamentary democracy's evolution over the last 75 years. The presiding officers announced that proceedings would resume on Tuesday afternoon in the new Parliament building.
