Hey guys! What's up? In this video we'll try to come up with the best talent for Valir. Because of Valir's gameplay we have to disregard the talent Magic Power Surge from the common magic emblem. The stats from this emblem gives Valir extra HP and mana, is really not worth it when using Valir. Valir needs to be in the back where he is safe and can still deal insane amount of damage. Valir's position is behind the tanks where he can deal damage from a distance. What you want to give him is extra firepower for maximum damage and you can get that from the stats of Custom Mage emblem. The search narrows down to two talents. Magic Worship and Impure Rage In terms of cooldown, Impure Rage cooldown is 5 seconds while Magic Worship is 20 seconds. In terms of damage, Impure Rage damage is equal to 4% of the current HP. Magic Worship's damage burns the enemy three times (82~250). Magic Worship's max damage is 750 while Impure Rage will need to target an enemy with an HP of 18,750 to reach 750 damage. As for the requirement, this is where it gets tricky. Impure Rage is easy to use, all you need is to cast a skill. Magic Worship requires you to deal damage that is at least 10% of the target's HP. You need to do that three times for Magic Worship to activate. When used on Valir, he can easily trigger Magic Worship. His ultimate when it has enough damage, can activate it. His 2nd skill, which can deal two damage when the target is at the edge, will count as two attacks in Magic Worship. You only need one more damage to activate it. His passive allows him to cast three skills consecutively without using his ultimate. On other mages it would be quite difficult because they only have three skills including their ultimate. Another reason to use Magic Worship is because all of Valir's skills are AOE. You will hit many targets at the same time. Because of Magic Worship's requirement, it can't work on tanks because of their high HP. That means Magic Worship will activate on the enemy with lower HP like marksman and mage. This is good because you'd want to get rid of them first before the tank. You can even activate Magic Worship with one skill with the help of Lightning Truncheon. Lightning Truncheon's extra damage counts as one attack for Magic Worship. Only Valir's 2nd skill will be used. The third damage came from Lightning Truncheon. With just one skill, Magic Worship was activated. In my opinion Magic Worship is the best talent for Valir. Impure Rage cooldown is faster but Magic Worship can deal more damage. Also, Impure Rage effectiveness declines when you equip Glowing Wand. They both deal damage base on the current HP. Is your Magic Worship talent already unlocked?
