Hi there, my name is Josh. I'm one of the energy assessors here at ATSPACE, and the question I'm going to answer in this video is… What is an SBEM report? So, an SBEM report, also known as a BRUKL report, which stands for Building, Regulations, UK, Part L, is a report that summarises essentially whether your passing compliance or not, but also summarises areas within the assessment that we believe you should know, since you’re building it or involved in the project. So, firstly, we will outline the address of the building, because it's important we get that right. Then we will also say in what sector the commercial premises resides in, is it in the industry of health care, community day centre? Is it a secure institution? Are we doing an assessment of a prison? And then after that, we would summarise the average U-values achieved for the wall, floor, and wall build ups. We also go into detail about the efficiency of the heating systems. the specific fan powers of the extract systems, and the efficacy of lighting, and essentially all this information tells us whether we are passing compliance or not. So, back onto the first page. After we've summarised all this information, you will have your buildings emission rate against a target emission rate. If the numbers are in green, it means you are passing, and if the numbers are in red, it means you are failing. Thank you for watching this video. If you'd like me to answer any more of your questions surrounding anything to do with energy efficiency at all, or any queries you have about something you don't understand, then feel free to visit the knowledge hub to ask us to create a video about that question.
