“True inclusion goes beyond counting numbers — it’s about making sure everyone is really participating.” Janet Maro, founder of Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania and activist for rural development, joined the Summer School not only as a participant, but also as one of our expert speakers. She was particularly inspired by the opportunity to exchange with academics and experts from diverse backgrounds, and to deepen her understanding of how gender can be integrated into training programmes and social entrepreneurship. 🌱 “When we work with youth, we try to create spaces where women are not only present — but also empowered.” Janet returns to Tanzania with new insights, renewed motivation, and a stronger international network to help advance equity in her daily work. 🎓 This Summer School was part of UNITAFRICA, funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research within the Next Generation EU framework.
