🚴‍♂️ Cycling to Kericho | Tea Valleys, Fear on the Road & Kenyan Hospitality 🇰🇪 | Day 4 of Africa Bicycle Tour Today, I continued my cycling journey from Molo to Kericho — a ride filled with natural beauty, kind people, and some fear on the road. Molo was a nice town, and after riding just 10km, I joined the main highway. 🛣️ The road was wide and the scenery was beautiful — but not everything felt safe. In some places, people tried to stop me, shouted, and even ran toward me asking for money. The forests were deep and silent, and sometimes I felt truly alone. But I kept going. 🍃 By afternoon, I reached a peaceful and beautiful area known as the Tea Valley. It was full of people picking and selling tea, working under the sun. The place was calm and green, and I stopped at a small shop to buy a cold drink. 🍺 But not everything was peaceful — a man approached me and asked me to buy him beer, and others asked to ride my bicycle. I refused politely, but I felt a little fear again. Still, deep inside, I reminded myself: “I know I’m not going to die. I’ll make it.” 🌆 By night, I arrived in Kericho, a clean, well-managed city. I went to the police station hoping to stay there, but they kindly helped me find a nearby budget hotel instead — just 1300 Kenyan shillings per night.
