This is the review of the new Ryobi ONE+ P261 cordless impact wrench which is replacing the older P260 model which had 200ft-lbs of torque. I believe this is sold under the part number R18IW3 in the EU. Products in video: p261 impact kit: https://amzn.to/341GQiB Socket set: 1/2" drive Impact deep metric https://amzn.to/31O0CfS Socket set: 1/2" drive Impact SHALLOW metric https://amzn.to/31Pl93I 32mm axle nut socket: https://amzn.to/2pituQe The P261 output has been increased to 300ft-lbs of overall torque. It uses a brushed motor , 1/2" drive with detent pin anvil, has a 3 speed selector switch located on the top of the tool and has a new 3 LED output ring on the front nose cone. The battery used in this video was a 18 volt lithium Ion 4AH battery with the part number of P108 the whole video was shot on 1 battery with 3 out of 4 led's left. This impact is a great lug nut impact and has no problems with lug nuts from what I could tell, plus it is lightweight at 5lbs (with large battery) . This smaller gun fit perfect in my hand and the forward/reverse selector works great and not once did it get pushed in the opposite direction which does happen with some other impacts. Having the selector switch for the speeds on top is great which really does keep it out of the way from bumping it with your fingers if it was on the lower base. It is actually from a quick look about 1/4" shorter than the P260 from back to front. It did struggle with rusted corroded nuts and bolts, it was a hit and miss if it would remove axle nuts staked or not. Before the youtube experts shout the axle nuts were staked watch the whole video and you can see it removing some staked nuts and struggled with some non staked nuts, it does not make a difference. The impact did not like the swivel extension at all and it appears a short extension really robbed it of power as you can see in the clip at 1:51 where it could not loosen the bolts for the shock mount, but after removing the extension it loosened the bolts like they were not even tight. This impact in Canada is very difficult to find and HD is selling P260's for $75 just to get rid of them but even at that price they can't because the crowd there doesn't know what to use an impact wrench is for, even the tool guy didn't know what it was for. Only when they sell out their old stock will they order the new P261. Also don't be fooled because ryobi is selling the P261 under the same SKU as the P260 in the stores so if you see your local store has a P261 online you would have to call and ask them to look at the box and make sure it is a real p261 not P260 impact. While this is a great impact for the price under $150 that is just the bare tool, once you add the charger, and big 4AH lithium ion battery you would have spent almost $300 and for this kind of work on rusted fasteners you absolutely need the bigger battery. If you live where there is no salt and rust like what you see in this video then I think this would be a perfect impact and have no trouble removing 90% of fasteners on your car. Also if you already have the Ryobi Batteries and charger then it is a great addition for a very affordable price. But if you live where there is a lot of road salt and rust I am not sure this is the best value impact for cars that see those kind of conditions. I can't comment on reliability as I have only had it for a couple of days but the fit and finish is very nice. The battery fits very securely, the switches and trigger seem to operate as nice as any of the higher end impacts. Thanks for watching! Oh yeah this looks like the RIDGID R86010 but apparently the RIDGID puts out 25 more ft-lbs at 325ftlbs so I am not sure of the real differences. It also looks like the Craftsman C3 ½ impact wrench so i'm going to guess they are all the same with minor differences.
