These are a series of recordings made in the al-Masjid a-Nabawi (the Prophetic Mosque) in al-Madina al-Munawwara after Eid al-Adha 1444 H seeking the blessing of that Noble Sanctuary. In this session, I’m reading from the book The Criterion between the Devotees of a-Rahman and the Devotees of Shaytan (الفرقان بين أولياء الرحمن وأولياء الشيطان) by Skeikh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyya rahimahullah discussing the definition of the Awliyya’ (الأولياء) in the Sharia. Sheikh ul-Islam will describe who the Awliyya are. He will also explain the meanings of the Qurra’, Fuqura’ and the Sufiyya.
