Brownells has released a new retro line of rifles to include clones of the M16A1, Colt / Armalite 601, XM177, and transitional M16 model which were all fielded in some way during the Vietnam War and after. In this video I focus on the 601 which was the first M16 rifle adopted in decent numbers by the US Air Force and the US Army to a lesser degree. I go over the unique details of the rifle, do some accuracy testing, and go over the history of the rifle.
