Mach Loop, Cad West - LFA7 - Photography & Video. I decided to take a look through some aviation archives, whilst making the most of my down time during the Coronavirus and thought I would make a vlog of a trip we made to Snowdonia in Wales. We headed to the Mach Loop, Cad West LFA7, near to Machynlleth, better known as "The Mach Loop" where both the RAF and USAF carry out low flying training through the hills. We were very lucky with several passes from USAF F-15E's & C's. Some days can be spent on the hills without seeing one aircraft, so luck was definitely on our side! The day started off very overcast with cloud hugging the hill side! After an hour or so the mist cleared and gave us some great views. It wasn't long before jets noise could be heard fast approaching! Grabbing the gear and jumping out of the tent, I aimed the 400 towards the noise and focussed! Heres's the results.
