B E L F A S T L I V E S E S S I O N S #16 Recorded August 29, 2017 At The Lyric Theatre, Stranmillis, Belfast This week's Belfast Live Session was a bit special. For a number of reasons.. I got inspired through a new found friend Millie Corser (local actor and playwright from Wales) who introduced me to this track "Cant Find My Way Home" by Ellen McIIlwaine. I immediately fell in love with the song and found McIIwaine to be such an interesting hidden gem from the 60's. She played all styles and opened for people like Jimi Hendrix, Muddy Waters and the likes. Since my mate Millie is working her way through Belfast with her plays and acting career, I thought what better place to do it than a local theatre and we found one of the best. The Lyric Theatre in Stranmillis is a stunning building, recently revamped from a 60's style, the architecture, light and acoustics were perfect for one of our sessions.
