Date: February 7th, 1980 Venue: Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena Location: Los Angeles, California, United States of America Artwork: ScreamingAbdab over at the great Obscured by Clouds Discord! Thanks again! Taper: Al Laurel After restarting the Pink Floyd Bootlegs channel, a nice man with the user Flashback17 began commenting on my videos. After some small discussion on my videos he ended up emailing me about his uncirculating February 8th, 1980 tape. I checked his sample of the 8th, and to my surprise it's a brand new recorder. I released his 7th tape yesterday (as of writing this), and now I am proud to release his 8th tape. This new tape is recorder two for the 8th, which has an alright/good tape circulating already but has awful stereo and other issues with the tape that just make it kind of miserable to listen to. Now, this is much easier on the ears. Things to note about this particular show are the overarching playback issues, as seen in Another Brick in The Wall 2 where Roger and David are forced to sing the children's choir part live (they would have to do that again 2 days later on the 10th), and them being forced to sing The Trial in its entirety. Another thing to note is Roger himself, who blew his voice out the day earlier during The Trial. He is very unstable voice wise and struggles throughout the show, culminating in David singing most of Hey You (what a moment!). Ace Young is the Master of Ceremonies for this night (the only time he ever did so), and does a KMET radio link after The Show Must Go On, which features Jim Ladd in the radio link (Jim would be the MoC for the 10th). Also included in the description is the original KMET radio advert for tickets to the shows. Worth noting that at this time (circa December 79/January 80) only the first three shows were scheduled. The 10th-13th were added later. Al's KMET video: • KMET Pink Floyd THE WALL - January 1980 C...
