Prom Night

I first got the idea to record a video featuring a Sim going to the prom yesterday on the 16th January, but it wasn't until today that I got around to recording it. Nonetheless, this is the second video that I've taken this year to be based around a concept that I had this year. I actually did manage to record a complete video of this yesterday, but it was deemed unsatisfactory, which is why I insisted on rerecording it today. This was a problematic video to record. Since I literally had only been guaranteed two seconds to get Darryrene and Dionne to the prom before the interaction was cancelled and would no longer be able to send them to the prom again. Normally the interaction to go to the prom was cancelled and because it was past 6:00 PM, the option to go to the prom was no longer available. But on at least two occasions, Darryrene and Dionne did end up going into the building, only to exit the building a few seconds later, forcing me to have to exit my save and try again. Thankfully, I successfully managed to get them to go to the prom twice, the recording of the second successful attempt was chosen as the master. This video features Darryrene Van Gould and Dionne Ulrich going to the prom at Public School 67 on a rainy Spring evening. Considering that Darryrene has the Unlucky trait, the prom could have been a lot worse than it ended up being. First, Darryrene was elected as Prom Queen. Then she saw her crush attending the prom with another Sim, disregarding the fact that she doesn't have a crush. And the Sim I've picked out for her to marry when she becomes a young adult is already a young adult, so she'll have to wait until she becomes a young adult before she can marry him. Then Darryrene apparently hit it off at the prom with none other than herself. Honestly, the game could have chosen to have her and Dionne go to the prom as friends, since they are the only two teenagers currently in my game. At least it's nice to know that Darryrene holds herself in a high enough regard for her to be her own prom date. She also got into a fight with another Sim for copying her formal attire. Normally, I disable paparazzi before recording videos. This is the first time I can remember purposely leaving them enabled. Because I wanted there to be a paparazzi outside the school during the prom night, which is what ended up happening in this video. It was taken on the 17th January 2026, slightly less than 40 minutes ago. So it's brand new. Enjoy! :)
