Healy Pass is a scenic mountain pass located in the Beara Peninsula, straddling the border between County Cork and County Kerry in Ireland. It reaches an elevation of 334 meters and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The pass was constructed in 1847 as part of a Famine relief scheme and was originally known as the Kerry Pass. It was later renamed in honor of Timothy Michael Healy, the first governor-general of the Irish Free State. The road winds through isolated countryside, making it a popular route for drivers, cyclists, and walkers. The route starts at Adrigole Bridge in County Cork and proceeds to Lauragh Bridge in County Kerry, covering approximately 12 kilometers. The road is known for its sharp bends and twists, so caution is advised, especially for those unfamiliar with the terrain.
