When we first moved onto our property I didn't make any videos. Don't know why but we will be posting some of our earlier videos via photos. Over a year ago we bought an old smaller wood stove for a hundred bucks. We have not found much info on this wood stove. Atlanta Wood Works went out of business many years ago. Rob restored it but now we can see daylight through it so need some kind of sealer for it. Anyone know what we need? As soon as we know what to do we will get this installed for next winter and yes I will remember to take a video for all of you! In case you are wondering how we have kept warm these last two winters, we've been using a propane heater which has worked great, probably because our home still has plenty of air holes. We are in no danger because we turn off the heat when we go to bed. Rob and I (Susan) are in our mid-sixties. Blissful Acres Off Grid Homestead is about our journey into Self Sufficiency and creating a safe haven for our loved ones. We create these videos for our Grandchildren. June of 2019 will be our two year anniversary here on our almost seven acre off grid desert paradise homestead. Rob researched and built our solar system. We have built our greenhouse from recycled materials, planted a combination of 17 fruit, nut and shade trees using desert permaculture strategies and have so many other Off Grid and homesteading projects we would like to share with you. I'm sure we will post most everything we are up to on Blissful Acres. Things like fixing the well house, installing a solar and hand pump for our well, installing our wind generator, our home, sewing, solar cooking, preserving food, prepping and even a video or two about our 1966 bus conversion Sedona Synergy. We will draw upon skills and knowledge we have and learn others. Some of these techniques may be thousands of years old!
