Spoon Phillips demos the Martin 00L-X2E. Welcome back, Spoon! The Martin 00L-X2E is a 00 sized acoustic guitar, with slightly more real estate at the upper bout. The shoulders of the body still meet the neck at the 14th fret, but they're sloped - giving the 00L-X2E a slightly larger upper bout. This is NOT the same design as a 00 12-fret guitar. The 00L-X2E from Martin is a true 14-fret 00, just with sloped shoulders. Other slope-shoulder 00 Martin Guitars in current production include the Martin 00L Earth, CEO7 and CEO9.
