Check out Hardman Fishing Merch: hardmanfishing.com In this video I went into the wilds of the Appalachian mountains during the fall for 3 days to do some solo camping and fly fishing. I caught the most beautiful fish in the world at their peak colors, got to spend time in the mountains during the prettiest time of the year, and saw one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen while trout fishing for native fish. Welcome back to another video. Day 1: It took longer to hike into the area I wanted to solo camp than I originally thought it would. So after hiking in I set up camp and pretty quickly went fishing. The fishing was incredible and I caught 2 of my biggest native brook trout this year. The coolest thing was that the biggest of the two brook trout, which ties for my biggest ever, had a mouse tail hanging out of its mouth. So not too long before I caught the fish it had eaten a mouse!! Day 2: The trout fishing on day 2 was not nearly as good as it was on day 1. However, I still caught some of the most beautiful trout you'll ever see. The fish ranged from 6 to 10 inches and the oranges and reds of the fish's body matches perfectly with the autumn backdrop of the Appalachian mountains. This day also took a toll on me, when I struggled to stay focused and ended up forcing myself to stop fishing to get some food and rest. Day 3: The day started by getting woken up by coyotes that had made their way into camp at around 3 am.... which is always a rough way to wake up when you're back country camping. The trout fishing was better on day 3, with a lot of awesome fish hitting the net. Small dry flies were what worked the best, with the exception of the last fish of the day which I caught on a small woolly bugger. I hope you guys enjoyed this fun few days of fishing, hiking, adventuring, and camping! This adventure was one for the record books and I hope you enjoyed the video. Don't forget to like and leave a comment if you enjoyed it! And as always, I'll catch you on the next one. #fishing #camping #adventure #flyfishing #solocamping #hiking #troutfishing #brooktrout #youtube #outdoors #angler #nature
