In this video, I show you how I repaired my destroyed gabion wall after severe storm damage. A beech tree around 30 meters high fell onto my stone baskets and caused considerable damage, meaning that some baskets had to be replaced. The stability of the wall had to be guaranteed during and after the repair. Instead of removing all 15 baskets and rebuilding them, I laboriously removed the damaged baskets from the row by hand and replaced them with two new gabions. This was much more difficult than I initially thought, but with a lot of effort I was able to repair the wall with as little effort as possible. In total, it took me two days and a lot of energy to repair my gabion retaining wall! In this video, I share my experiences and give you valuable tips on how to repair stone baskets efficiently.
