Inside Illegal Liquor Mafia of Madhya Pradesh ft. Medha | Jist

In a new report, I, JIST reporter Medha, went deep into Alirajpur and Jhabua, one of the poorest regions in India. It's a place where most of the population is tribal and lives below the poverty line. While reporting there, we uncovered something truly shocking: a network of illegal liquor counters and shops operating in villages. You wouldn't even recognize them, they're disguised as ordinary snack shops. On the Madhya Pradesh border, we even found restaurants secretly serving liquor to customers, even though it wasn't listed anywhere on their menu. We captured all of this on camera, taking huge risks. Here's the biggest question- How can a region that is one of the poorest in the country have legal liquor shops that sold for as much as 12 to 15 crores? It's a contradiction that raises serious questions, and my report aims to find some answers.
