Review Below VVVV Donek Flux - (I think the specs were) 163 28.5 9.5-11.5 Variable Side-Cut Radius The Donek Flux is a very smooth carving board, Donek says they use the Saber’s rubber dampening in the core of the board and a few special tweaks to make the Flux excel in a freeride environment. All I know is when making heel carves especially, the dampening on the Flux vs. my much stiffer Donek Inline feels much smoother. This is mostly noticeable on uneven surfaces, the Incline is very smooth on perfectly groomed surfaces and snap-er then the smooth turning Flux. My impression of the Flux - Very smooth with its nifty dampening, Great directional carver with big turns from the larger 9.5-11.5 VSR! Both Knapton Twins When first riding these boards I noticed Ryan sets the bindings holes slightly closer to the toe side edge, making the leverage needed to apply the heel edge more than the toe. The reason for this is to gain clearance for the heel not to boot out on extreme heel carves. This took some time to get used to and I will say my shin muscles were sore the next day from leaning and pulling back on heel carves! Thank for the heads up Ryan lol!! In the video of the first Knapton Twin I can notice the 9.? side-cut makes larger turns. The larger side-cut radius really makes heel turns more challenging by having to commit and really lean on the edge for a tighter turn. I preferred the 8.7 side-cut radius primarily for heel turns.. I was talking briefly with Ryan about getting Donek to making a twin with a tighter heel radius than toe radius, but we’ll see… Donek Incline Twin - 155? 27.5 8.2 Side-cut Radius The Incline twin is basically the same as the All Mountain and Park Twin but with the stiffer Incline core. I really liked the slightly shorter board than I typically ride (more maneuverable) and the tighter 8.2 radius. You can really see the difference in tighter turns when I make toe side turns on this board. I am not really good at butters yet and haven’t really been trying them, but this board I feel may be too stiff for butter tricks. My impression of this board - Great all mountain twin for big chargers that like riding switch. Donek Incline - 160 29.5 8.5-10.5 VSR First off this is a very stiff and rigid carver! The nose is slightly softer flex and the tail is very stiff (probably 9-10 out of 10 on flex) This board carves amazingly on the groomers and packed powder and because of the stance being set back with a longer nose and the extra wide board this thing floats on the deepest powder day! The 8.5-10.5 VSR is great for big deep turns and if you really bear down in the turn it just turns tighter. Id love to get Donek to make me a Splitboard Incline with the Saber Dampening Core in a 160 with a 28.5 waste 7.8-9.8 heel and 10.5-8.5 toe VSR! You’ll be hearing from me one day soon ;)
