Day one of our Vietnam journey begins in Hanoi. From landing at the airport to our first steps into the city, this day was all about settling in, exploring at a slow pace, and soaking up the atmosphere. After arrival, we grabbed our first local bite—Banh My Mama—simple, comforting, and exactly what we needed to start the trip. We continued with a quiet visit to St. Joseph’s Cathedral, taking a moment to appreciate the architecture and calm in the middle of the city. As the day unfolded, we walked through Hanoi’s lively streets, letting the rhythm of the city guide us. The evening brought us to Hoan Kiem Lake, where locals gather and the pace slows down, before ending the night at Hang Ma Street, filled with colors, lights, and unmistakable Old Quarter energy. A gentle first day—no rush, just arrival, food, walking, and getting familiar with a city full of character.
