This is a community-driven program for attracting and retaining skilled workers in rural and northern regions of North Bay (ontario), Sudbury (ontario), Timmins (ontario), Sault Ste. Marie (ontario), Thunder Bay (ontario), Brandon (Manitoba), Altona/Rhineland (Manitoba), Moose Jaw (Saskatchewan), Claresholm (Alberta), Vernon (British Columbia), West Kootenay i.e., Trail, Castlegar, Rossland, Nelson (British Columbia). How to apply? Apply online through the Permanent Residence Portal. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS Language Must have CLB/NCLC 4 for TEER 4, and TEER 5, CLB/NCLC 5 for TEER 2 and 3, CLB/NCLC 6 for TEER 0 or TEER 1. Experience Must have worked for 1 full year (1560 hours) during the last 3 years in TEER 1, TEER 2, TEER 3, TEER 4, or TEER 5. Both Canadian and outside of Canada work experience counts. International students who have obtained eligible credentials are exempt from the above work experience requirement. Job Offer They must get a valid non-seasonal, indeterminate job offer in TEER 1, TEER 2, TEER 3, TEER 4, or TEER 5 and submit an IMM 5984 form. The employer must be located within the boundaries of the specific participating community. Education Education must be either a Canadian high school or post-secondary education, or a foreign degree accredited in Canada in the last 5 years. Settlement fund Sufficient funds should be available (50 percent of the low-income cut-off totals for rural areas) including all family members if you are coming from outside of Canada. If you are lawfully working in Canada, you do not need the settlement fund. Other Must show the intent to live in the participating communities.
