Keep in mind that where you spend your vacations may not be the best location for a long-term stay. I'm also going to touch on a subject that comes up frequently, racism in Italy. People ask me all the time is it safe for Black people here. Have I experienced more racism in Italy than in the States (that would be impossible). I understand the reason why this question comes up but I also understand the frustration some of my fellow Black Americans feel regarding constantly answering it.
