Place the blue and red life counter tokens on their respective thrones (6 for 2v2, 8 for 3v3). 2. Randomly flip the tie breaker coin and place it in a corner of the board. 3. Place 5 wave counter tokens in the same corner of the board as the tie breaker coin. 4. Place all coins in the opposite corner of the board. 5. Each player picks a hero, starting with the tie breaker coin and alternating between teams. For first game, recommended heroes are Wasp/Xargatha/Tigerclaw vs. Arien/Brogan/Sabina. 6. Give each player their 18 hero cards. Find the 3 tier 1 cards and the 2 basic cards with no tier. Those 5 cards are your starting hand. Keep the other 13 cards nearby. 7. Give each player a level indicator card. Tuck it under left edge of hero dashboard at level 1. Note: This is not needed if you remember that hero level is equal to 1 + number of items. 8. Attach the appropriate colored bases to the selected heroes. 9. Place heroes on any hero spawn point within their respective throne zone. 10.
