Welcome back to FactorXMaths! This is the fourth video in our Indefinite Integration for JEE Main 2026 playlist. I’m Akshat Agarwal from IIT Kharagpur, and in this session we focus on the classic standard integrals and trigonometric integrals that JEE loves to repeat in different disguises. 🔹 What’s inside this video? Important classic standard forms: We revise and extend the most used standard integrals from this chapter, especially those involving rational functions, simple algebraic expressions in the denominator, and standard logarithmic or inverse trigonometric outcomes. The aim is to turn them into patterns that you recognize instantly rather than a list you try to memorize. Trigonometric integrals using identities: You’ll learn how to handle integrals involving basic trigonometric functions using identities: converting products to sums, using double-angle or half-angle forms, and simplifying powers of sine and cosine before integrating. We focus on what to do when you see even or odd powers, mixed trig functions, and symmetric expressions. Standard trig integral types for JEE: We go through the most common JEE-level trigonometric integral types and the standard tricks attached to each, like reducing everything to one trigonometric function, using substitution with a basic trig function, or converting to tangent or cotangent forms when the denominator suggests it. Each example is chosen to show a clear “if you see this pattern, try this method” connection. Mixing with earlier methods (substitution and by parts): Many classic and trig integrals are not solved by formulas alone; they combine substitution or integration by parts with an identity or rearrangement. We solve problems where you first simplify using trig identities, then apply substitution or by parts, so you get comfortable chaining methods the way JEE questions expect. Exam-focused practice and traps: Throughout the video, we highlight typical exam traps such as missing domain issues inside logarithms, ignoring absolute values, or choosing an unnecessarily complicated identity. You’ll see how a small algebraic or trigonometric simplification at the start can save a lot of time and reduce calculation errors. By the end of this video, classic and trigonometric integrals will feel like a collection of well-known patterns and tricks, setting you up perfectly for the final video where we attack previous year JEE Main questions on indefinite integration. 📌 Don’t forget to: 👍 Like the video if trig integrals feel more structured now 🔔 Subscribe and turn on notifications for the last video on JEE Main PYQs of Indefinite Integration 💬 Comment which type troubles you more: classic algebraic standard forms or trigonometric identity–based integrals 📂 Share this with friends who get stuck simplifying trig expressions before integrating
