Analyzing the influence of different factors on hydration, such as time, temperature, and binder composition. Typical sample preparation for FTIR analysis of cementitious materials: Crushing powders to a fine size to minimize scattering. Mixing with liquid paraffin (Nujol) or pelletizing with potassium bromide (KBr).
