I present this patriotic American classic of the 5 year anniversary of January 6th 2021. This event, led by President Trump and many in his administration. This was an assault on our country and our representative republic and the rule of law. On this day many people were injured and assaulted trying to defend the capitol , including many police officer. President Trump was never held accountable for this treasonous action and instead he was re-elected as president. He then proceeds to pardon all of the insurrectionists on that day , including the most violent ones as well. Our country remains extremely divided by our current president over the past 10 years. One of our political parties the Republicans now act like a cult of personality ,called MAGA and led by President Trump. He continues to inflict trauma on the American people with the intent of enriching himself and his family, while destroying our country. As you listen to the verses on this song you will notice that none of ideals set aside by the founders of this country have been upheld over the past 10 years. Even the ideals of religion have not been upheld as "God " is mentioned many times in the patriotic song. The image that I chose also presents the dichotomy of the lyrics written and the actions taken by the president ,politicians and many of our citizens of this infamous day in our history on January 6th 2021. by Katherine Lee Bates; (1859-1929) Inspired by a trip to Pikes Peak in 1893, Katherine Lee Bates wrote the poem America the Beautiful. Her poem first appeared in print on July 4, 1895 in The Congregationalist, a weekly journal. Ms. Bates revised the lyrics in 1904 and again in 1913 Mastered Track: Distrokid Mixea
