Well folks I'm back in the Glen for this one! I tried to shoot a couple of videos since my last one but unfortunately one (as you will see) was impossible to film and another was just not up to the high standards that I expect of myself. I want to put out quality content, not quantity for the sake of the algorithm. For this video I wanted to compose all the music for it so I would love to hear your comments not only on the photography but the music as well. Following my last visit to this amazing place I have constantly wanted to come back and shoot again. I wanted snow and raging rivers which I didn't get unfortunatley but most importantly I wanted to shoot areas that are the 'less visited locations'. There are no 'Secret Locations' here, any videos that advertise themselves as such are just click bait to get views, but what there are lesser visited places, often because they involve a little more walking than just parking up and shooting (which this area is just awesome for I would add!) I found this trip challenging for these reasons as I was forced to find different compositions, along with not being sure of how the light is going to drape itself on the landscape if it will at all. The 3 Sisters and Valley of Glencoe because of its orientation when shooting at this time I have come to feel doesnt really lend itself to sunset photography unless you can get a situation where the sky catches fire. The sun just sets behind the mountains too quickly, which is completely the opposite in Summer when it blasts down the valley. As I drove the 7 hours home and left this place I still had this burning feeling of wanting to come back, and I dont think that I will be satisfied until I have all of the shots that are in my minds eye. Its strange really because I feel such a connection with this place, even more so than the Lake District where I grew up. I almost feel that this trip was an exploration of the area rather than a photography trip and that I am now only just starting the journey that so many have made before me, and am simply beginning to scratch the surface of this simply beautiful place I hope that you enjoy this little adventure, and I will catch you all on the next one!
