First time ever getting out on track in it since buying it around 6 months ago - in that time I've only driven it on the odd few sunny days on a weekend etc so I wasn't out to be a hero or set any times this evening, just to get a feel for the car on track and start to learn it's characteristics in the bends and under braking. It needed some engine safety via a standalone ecu before I even thought about taking it on track, with the losses I've suffered in previous motors it wasn't worth the risk. So off it went to dwr performance (Darren) who's been tuning cars since I was born to have a full standalone link g4x ecu installed along with a lovely haltech ic7 dash display 🤣 he was also THE mapper for every noble that left the factory and was the legend behind the cars factory map on the stock ecu. If you know or if you don't, I've raced 5/600 bhp evos for years previously and have only recently got rid of an m4 I raced in time attack in 2022 to be replaced by the noble. The way this car feels and the way this car needs to be driven on circuit is WAYYYYY out of my comfort zone and nothing like what I've been used to for the last 5 years in the slightest 😆 I really had to focus on just driving the car and both of us coming back in one piece! I've never driven anything like it honestly and it couldn't be more different to the evos and m4 if it tried, totally different style of driving needed and major major concentration is required to even lap at a steady pace, let alone on the limit. No aids in this (no TCS, no ABS, no flappy paddles, no driver aids at all) much much more difficult to drive fast on circuit than anything else I've owned, whilst also baring in mind I'm sitting in a 50k car made of fibreglass so the worry of crashing or being crashed into was at the forefront of my mind the whole time. Lots and lots to learn in this motor but I can't wait to get back out there and get more seat time under my belt and hopefully manage to get some proper heat into the tyres next time round and get those manual changes sussed 🔥🤣🙏 Nonetheless, to be just 0.5s off the time I set in the evo after spending years behind the wheel on track in it and mastering driving it on the limit to its full capability, the nobles performance has exceeded my expectations! Mega happy 😊 great progress made over our first 2 hours tonight. I think it's definitely capable enough to be much faster once I've learnt how to drive it properly (driver mod much needed) Onto the next one - some cracking footage to watch with lots of porsche porn to feast your eyes on.
