Mont Blanc Hike & Fly - Le mardi de l’ascension

At 2AM we started the ascension of the Mt. Blanc; first the passage of the Grand Couloir followed by a steep rocky climb. After 3 hours of hard work we arrived at the old Refuge de Goûter. Here we put on our crampons and roped up. Zigzagging on the ice seemed never ending. After arriving at the Dôme du Goûter pass at 4250m we finally had the view on the summit. After 6km/1700m and around 10:30 we finally arrived at the top of the Mt. Blanc at 4810m. 🏔 Focused on the next part of the mission I prepared my paraglider. My first attempt got me in the air from the perfect take-off point. A 45 minutes flight of my life followed starting with the turn back to France over the ridge we just had hiked up with some breathtaking views of the surrounding snowy mountains!
