Stuck in the mud: Slippery ride after days of rain

After two days of nonstop rain, we head out for a ride despite the muddy conditions. The rear tire is sliding all over the place, and before long the bike ends up stuck in a pit of mud. It’s not a big problem though—we manage to get it out with a bit of help from my son. We continue the ride very carefully as the trails are extremely slippery. Toward the end, the rain turns into snow, and we decide to head home using what used to be one of our favorite dirt roads—now asphalted just a month ago.
