The new Firmware 2.28 for the Si4732 ATS Mini Receiver brings several key improvements that enhance user experience and performance. Among the most significant changes is a much better seek sensitivity, making station searching easier. Furthermore, a bug causing loud clicks when changing bands or modes on PCB versions without an audio mute circuit has been fixed. Additionally, Firmware 2.28 introduces a direct frequency entry mode, where you can rotate the encoder to select a step (digit or "half digit") and set the frequency. A short press of the encoder aligns the frequency to the current step. You can exit this mode by clicking the encoder again or by waiting a few seconds. Other notable improvements include: Option to select FM de-emphasis settings based on region. MAC address display on the receiver's web page. Added ALL-CT RDS option for those who prefer accurate time over WiFi. EEPROM backup and restore via the receiver's web interface (restore only works on compatible firmware versions). A new optional UI layout with a large S-meter and S/N-meter. Ability to set UTC offset, which affects the displayed time (whether received from RDS or NTP). Option to change menu scroll direction (Settings/Scroll Dir.). Added SNR to the serial console log. Experimentally re-enabled automatic antenna capacitor on FM, MW, and 160M bands (as it was in version 1.06 and older) and its reset when switching between AM bands. The short shortcut (volume) is no longer global (now only works in VFO mode) and can be used in menus and other modal modes. SSB tuning is now aligned to the current step. Completely mutes speaker output when muted. Reduced RSSI and SNR thresholds in FM/AM seek modes. Theme editor can be enabled or disabled using the 'T' terminal command without recompiling the firmware.
