SO CLOSE To a BIG Drag Racing PAYDAY! Bracket Racing NIGHTFIRE Nationals 2024 | Firebird Raceway

The Nightfire Nationals at Firebird Raceway, Idaho marks one of my favorite events of my drag racing season. This event is typically the highest paying race of the year for the sportsman racers like myself competing in Pro and Super Pro. Although I've attended this race for years as a spectator, this is only my 3rd year competing and it was by far the best I've ever done at the event! As you'll see in the video, I struggled with a small issue causing the timing on my supercharged 383ci SBC to move around making it near impossible to dial the car in at a track that is already tricky enough to run a number. But Saturday, luck was on my side, the car was performing how it should and I took my 1971 Nova into the money during the big show Saturday afternoon! My luck and skill was stopped in the quarter finals when I made a driving mistake that cost me a trip to the final round and winning thousands of dollars!!
