The Ariel Atom 4R (£70,000 starting) and the Caterham Seven 620S (£58,490 starting) both subscribe to similar philosophies, but both have a different execution. Lightweight power may be the goal, but the Atom employs a massively turbocharged Civic Type R engine and lots of driving mode customization. Whereas the Caterham pushes a supercharged Ford Duratec engine combined with a raw 5-speed manual option.
