Hercules Glades Wilderness

Our annual spring backpacking trip we went to Hercules Glades Wilderness area. Hercules Glades Wilderness is located 10 miles NorthEast of Branson, Missouri, We made this a 3 day two night backpacking trip. We arrived at the Hercules Tower Trail Head off of hwy 125 around 1 pm in the afternoon and parked our vehicle . This area at the trail head does have a handful of camping sites. We started hiking counter clock wise on the tower trail, hiked a couple of hours and made camp. Continued on to the lower pilot knob trail to the falls and camped the second night at the falls area. Returned back to our vehicle via Long Creek Trail and camped at tower trail head. We really enjoyed the area, the trails were well defined at this time of year and was nice to see that people did not mark the trails with flag tape or by painting trees with spray paint. I look forward to come back in the fall to see the fall colors.
