Driving in Norway: E16 from Borgund Stave Church to Lærdal

In this video you can drive along on a part of E16 from Borgund to Lærdal in the Vestland region of Norway. In the beginning of the video, I chose to drive a more local scenic byroad to check out some of the scenery and waterfalls in the area. This byroad also provides access to the Kongevegen tourist road and other hiking trails. Later on in the video we drive on the E16. The main reason for visiting Borgund was the well-preserved early 13th century wooden stave church. It was built in ca 1200 and closed in the year 1868. There is a whole museum and visitor center around it. We also visited Lærdal before, which has a few pretty old town streets. As an infrastructure nerd however, I knew the name from the famous Lærdaltunnelen, world's currently longest road tunnel at over 25 kilometers. I drove through it 3 times and it's quite bizarre. I will upload a video on it sometime in the future but you can see the entry of the tunnel towards the end of the video.
