This is a docudrama genre movie. A memory once recounted by the world-renowned Iranian director Asghar Farhadi has inspired his fellow filmmaker Rezvan Khorsandi in the United States to direct a short movie titled “Buy Me a Poem”. “Buy Me a Poem” is based on a true story about Ali Fayyazi, a Ph.D. student at Clemson University where Khorsandi studied graphic communications. The film highlights the difficulties that Iranian students are experiencing because of the travel ban. Also, to show people in the world that not only Iranians are not terrorists but also they come from the millennia culture where people are paying for poetry in the street.
