Wylding Hall (Elizabeth Hand) - Book Review | The Bookworm

Welcome back, bookworms! In this video I'll talk about Wylding Hall, about folk rock bank members that spend a summer in what appears to be a haunted house. It's the 1970's, time of hippies, freedom, spiritualism and lots of good music. Windhollow Faire is an acid rock bank with incredibly talented members. After the former singer jumped to her death (an accident, or something else?), their manager decided to avoid the bad press and let the band heal and relax at a countryside mansion - Wylding Hall. Despite the lack of outside contact and limited supply (of booze and drugs, mostly), they seem to like it. But then things start getting weird. Rooms that seem to move, animals behaving strangely, and a woman whom no one knows who seem to walk the halls. Years later, the surviving members are giving interviews and trying to make sense of the events of the summer, and the great tragedy that ended it. Want to know what I thought about the book?
