New Research Challenges Vaping Safety: Insights from Manchester Metropolitan University Study Exciting new research from Manchester Metropolitan University is set to challenge our understanding of vaping and its long-term health effects. Led by Dr Maxime Boidin, the study—due to conclude next month—reveals early indications that vaping might be just as dangerous as, or even worse than, smoking. Key findings include:• Arterial Damage: Both smokers and vapers are showing significant arterial damage during stress tests, a marker for potential heart disease and brain issues like dementia.• Chemical Impact: The mix of metals and chemicals in vapes, including propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine, may be causing inflammation and oxidative stress, undermining our cardiovascular health.• Growing Public Health Concerns: With over 5.1 million people in Britain using vapes and a seven-fold rise in usage among young adults, these early results are a wake-up call for stricter regulations and better public awareness. While Public Health England has previously described nicotine vapour as “substantially less harmful than smoking,” this study suggests a need to re-examine that stance. #PublicHealth #Vaping #Smoking #Research #Innovation #HealthPolicy Bought to you by VapeGuardian-smart vape detectors and support for stopping under age vaping.
