Comte George de Vogue was established in 1450 Jean Moisson. The estate remained in the same family for more than 300 years. In 1766, Catherine Bouhier married Marquis Cérice-François Melchior de Vogüé, a descendant of one of France’s oldest noble families. The last count (or Comte) Georges was at the head of the family business for 52 years and is also the namesake of the domaine. The estate is now headed by its 20th generation – Claire de Causans and Marie de Ladoucette, the granddaughters of the late Comte Georges de Vogüé The estate has 12.5 hectares of vineyards and is probably the greatest estate in Chambolle-Musigny.
