Poznań is a city located in west-central Poland, situated on the Warta River. It is one of Poland's oldest cities with a young vibe thanks to the students of the Adam Mickiewicz University, one of Poland's major universities. Poznań has a population of approximately half a million people. The city was founded in the 10th century and is known for its historic sites, including the Imperial Castle, Poznań Town Hall, and Cathedral Island (Ostrów Tumski).
