Gizmo and Gadgets is running on PCem with these stats (the same as Spelling Jungle), but requires a fairly beefy CPU in order to not stutter: -[Slot 1] Gigabyte GA-686BX w/Intel Pentium II/450 and 512MB ram -Graphics Card: Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 (S3 ViRGE) set to Fast VLB/PCI -Sound Blaster PCI 128 and CMS/Game Blaster -[IDE] Standard IDE, FDD1 3.5" 1.44M, CD PCemCD @ 24X, Drive 0 Primary Master (C:) set to default -Microsoft Intellimouse (PS/2) -Standard 2-button joystick(s) After setting that, install MS-DOS, enable CD-ROM driver (use this guide https://dfarq.homeip.net/using-a-cd-r...) , then install win98. After that, set your storage to DMA enabled, and install sound and graphics drivers. As I am using this virtual machine for windows 3.1 and early 95 era games, I have set the display to 256 colors, and set the PCem video to 2X. PCem: https://www.pcem-emulator.co.uk/downl... Sound Blaster Driver: https://www.philscomputerlab.com/soun... Diamond Stealth Driver: https://driverscollection.com/?file_i... This education game can also be played on Classic Reload (but only the DOS edition), and is also on archive. https://classicreload.com/super-solve... https://archive.org/details/gizmos-ga... Also note for those curious: The stuttering would happen for this particular game and a few others on my old rig which had an intel i7 10700F with poor cooling and airflow (I had a Dell G5 5000 pre-built that sounded like it was going to blow up after 5 years of the fans running full blast). On my new build with the ryzen 7 7800x3d and optimal cooling and airflow, it doesn't stutter anymore.
