The MODE function in Excel returns the most frequently occurring number in a numeric data set. If you need to find the most frequent number of phone calls for a support center or the most frequent number of orders received daily, use the MODE function. I use Excel's mode function and a PivotTable to check results in this short video. The MODE function is now compatible and has been replaced with MODE.MULT function and MODE.SNGL function.
