Cathy Hovde - Certified Industrial Hygienist for Resilient EHS Cathy Hovde is a seasoned Health and Safety Leader with over 20 years of global experience at companies including Amazon, Caterpillar, and 3M. A Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP), she is recognized for her transformational leadership, technical expertise, and ability to unite diverse teams to improve safety culture and outcomes. Cathy holds a Master of Science in Environmental Health from the University of Minnesota and has earned multiple industry awards, and serves in national leadership roles, including on the ACGIH Board of Directors. Cathy frequently shares her expertise through lectures and conference presentations. Ryan Nosan - MN Department of Labor and Industry Graduated from the University of MN Duluth with an undergraduate degree in community health education and a master’s degree in environmental health and safety. Has spent the last 23 years working with the Department of Labor and Industry and the MNOSHA program. From 2002 to 2010 worked with MNOSHA Enforcement as a safety investigator and principal investigator. In 2010 began a supervisor position with the MNOSHA Workplace Safety Consultation unit, overseeing the MNSTAR and MNSHARP programs, and remained in that role until 2016. In 2016 returned to the MNOSHA Enforcement group as the supervisor of the principal safety group and working on case settlement. In 2021 became the Director of the WSC program. Daniel Holcomb - Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Compliance Lead for IEA Institute. Graduated from University of MN Duluth with an undergraduate degree in exercise science and a master’s degree in environmental health and safety. A certified safety professional (CSP) and certified hazardous materials manager (CHMM). Has been an Environmental health and safety consultant with IEA for the last 7.5 years. Has worked EHS roles previously in woodworking/cabinetry, and printing/packaging industries.
